Job Summary
CCS Food For All envisions itself serving in the role of facilitator and capacity builder - helping to galvanize onthe-
ground efforts to grow the food economy and improve food access. In the coming few years, FFA capacity
building will concentrate efforts on maximizing the impact of farmers markets as hubs for improved food access
and drivers for economic growth.
CCS will accelerate markets' food access capacity and economic impact by expanding the tools, skills and
relationships available to organizers, entrepreneurs and customer-community members as they work
collaboratively to realize farmers markets' full potential. The Food System Capacity Coordinator will lead this
effort, managing programs which enhance markets capacity to serve customers using various food benefits,
that increase the entrepreneurial standing of markets in low-income neighborhoods, and which create
collaboration between markets, community organizations and social services.
Job Duties/Responsibilities

1. Work with markets to offer enhanced food benefit programming, including SNAP, FMNP and Fresh Bucks.
The coordinator will be responsible for helping markets administer these programs and track and assess
the growth and impact of market sales and food access for all partner markets.
2. Coordinate the distribution of Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers in Spokane County. This
will include working with DSHS and other community organizations to facilitate the promotion for and
distribution of vouchers, and tracking of client participation and program outcomes.
3. Develop and implement vendor recruitment model for low-income area markets, including pilots of a vendor
sales improvement training and a wholesale purchasing incentive initiative.
4. Coordinate with markets and social service agencies to implement a county-wide market promotion
strategy as part of the Farmers Market Access Partnership (FMAP).
5. Participate in meetings & activities with FMAP partners state-wide to identify best-practices and resources
available for partner markets.
6. Develop and implement family-outreach activities model for markets in low-income neighborhoods. Work
with Liberty Park Child Development Center and the South Perry FM in 2014 in this work.

7. Assist in ensuring that the program is in compliance with all applicable contractual, licensing, staffing and
safety mandates.
8. Report regularly to program coordinator on activities, outcomes and challenges.
9. Adhere to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
10. Perform as a team member to assure that productivity outcome measures are achieved.
11. Perform related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.
Job Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These
qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.
Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have a Bachelor of Arts
degree. Experience in project management and inter-organizational collaboration essential. Experience in
agricultural systems and food insecurity preferred. Experience working with diverse populations preferred.
Certificates/Licenses: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a valid Driver’s License.
Successfully pass background check applicable to position.
