Description

This position will work in a COVID positive isolation environment. As such staff will be compensated with a $1,500 - 3,000 monthly stipend (depending upon shift) in addition to hourly pay for hours worked.  CCEW will offer Insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Life & LTD) starting on hire date.

 

  Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with the management and operations of the COVID Isolation Site.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Health & Safety Duties include:

  1. Ensure all COVID Isolation site standards are followed, according to Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) mandates. This includes:
    1. Conducting pre-shift health checks
    1. Meticulous adherence pre & post-shift sanitation and containment protocols
      1. Following all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) don and doff protocols
    1. Monitoring and supporting patrons in following their personal health care recovery plans
    1. Adhering to a strict on-site sanitation and cleanliness mandates
    1. Administration of Narcan, as appropriate
  1. Perform hourly walks throughout the facility to detect hazards. Manage all building operations in the absence of other staff as assigned.
  2. Intervene in crises, respond to emergencies, and initiate action as required, including contact with emergency response systems.
  3. Write significant events involving residents and building operations activities in a daily log; read log daily.

Overall duties include:

  1. Supporting patrons in observing all shelter rules. Maintain safety and security by monitoring all general access areas and video footage, as appropriate.
  1. Oversees required operational tasks during shift, including answering telephones, triaging client needs, and partnering with medical staff on-site.
  2. Perform other relevant duties assigned by supervisor, including but not limited to supplemental cleaning/sanitation, meal distribution and organization of recreational activities, as defined by individual health treatment plans.
  3. Through regular interactions with clients, makes appropriate referrals to relevant social services. Assists case management staff in the coordination of services to residents, contact residents' outside service providers as necessary.
  1. Respond to resident complaints.
  2. Maintain relevant databases including internal database and HMIS. When necessary, administers the intake forms needed for statistical and narrative reports required by agency; performs required data entry.
  3. Use appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
  4. Utilize all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor.
  5. As a mandated reporter, follows all procedures outlined in agency policies and procedures to report to the proper agency when there is suspicion and/or confirmation that a child or adult has been a victim of abuse or neglect.
  6. Adheres to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
  7. Perform as a team member to assure that productivity outcome measures are achieved; regular attendance is particularly important for shelter safety and team dynamics.
  8. Perform related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.


Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have a High School Diploma or a General Education Degree with documented training in crisis response, harm reduction & assertive engagement. A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges. Demonstrated leadership, management, and administrative skills. Ability to compassionately interact with mentally ill, individuals experiencing substance use disorders or homelessness.

 

Certificates/Licenses: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to drive for work use. Successfully pass background check applicable to position.

 

Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:

  • Regularly sit, stand, climb, walk, hear/listen, talk
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds, pull/push, carry, grasp, reach
  • Occasionally crawl, stoop, kneel
  • Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses, ability to focus

Workplace Environmental Conditions

While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee will be:
