Job Duties/Responsibilities

1. Keep a schedule of regular appointments.  
2. Carry a caseload to ensure a 50-75% productivity rate as per program requirements.
3. Record required statistics.  Practice timely and complete file management as per program requirements.
4. Provide behavioral health services according to state and professional ethical conduct guidelines.
5. Prepare intake evaluations and develop individualized service plans with input from consumers seeking mental health services and their families and within time limits specified by state/federal and program requirements.
6. Use Access to Care Standards for all Medicaid/State Funded/MCO/Commercial Insurance enrolled individuals and families and provide necessary documentation.
7. Provide behavioral health services which promote growth, improve functioning, and keep individuals, couple, and families from decompensating.   
8. Document therapy, case management, and care coordination services provided to individuals/families and progress toward goals identified in service plans.  
9. Implement mechanisms that promote rapid and successful reintegration of consumers back into the community from psychiatric hospitals and long-term psychiatric placements, including participating with the hospital inpatient teams in treatment and discharge planning.  
10. Provide information and referrals and link individuals with community resources as needed.  
11. Assist enrolled individuals in obtaining state and federal assistance for which they may be entitled.
12. Participate in the provision of 24-hour, seven day a week on-call availability in response to crises experienced by enrolled individuals/families. 
13. Provide skills training and psycho-education to improve individuals’ and their families/supports’ understanding and management of psychiatric conditions.
14. Follow all COA standards of care for all clients.   
15. Integrate the use of Evidence-Based mental health practices into all treatment modalities.
16. Provide outreach and case management services as required/necessary for quality care coordination.
17. Make collateral contacts and consult other professionals to ensure maximum service benefits for participants.
18. Other duties as assigned.
19. Perform as a team member to assure that productivity outcome measures are achieved.
20. Adheres to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
21. Perform related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.

Job Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.  These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.  

Education/Experience:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must have an MA, MS, or MSW in Counseling Psychology, Psychology, or Social Work, or equivalent from an accredited academic institution.  Knowledge of community services.  A minimum of two years experience in the direct treatment of mentally ill persons.  Experience working with issues of behavioral health and poverty preferred.

Certificates/Licenses:  Candidates must hold a current Washington State credential (LMHC(A), LMFT(A), LICSW(A).  Preference will be given to candidates who hold the designation as a Mental Health Professional under WAC 388-865-0238, RCW 71.05.020(27), and RCW 71.34.020(14).   Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to drive for work use. The individual must successfully pass initial and on-going  background checks applicable to position. 

Physical Abilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:

• Frequently lift up to 10 pounds, pull/push, carry, grasp, reach 
• Occasionally crawl, stoop, kneel 
• Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses, ability to focus

Supervisory Skills:  this job does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.

• Noise Conditions: exposed during a shift to constant or intermittent sounds at moderate to loud levels of sound dependent upon daily activities.
